On
the 6th of July 2003, the Bay Walk of Roxas Boulevard
will be once again busy with artistic and cultural
activities as the populace of Metro Manila COME TOGETHER
TO CELEBRATE with the UNESCO Club of Metro Manila,
Office of the Presidential Adviser for Special Concerns
and City of Manila the 3rd INTERNATIONAL DAY PROJECT-
CHILDREN NOW!.
Sharing
the idea that ART is ONE language that transcends
the limits of both written and spoken expressions,
the project partners in this art event took on the
challenge of gathering men, women and children of
diverse convictions to express their thoughts about
peace by creating a common painting on a ONE-KILOMETER
CANVASS.
However,
the CN3 Working Committee would like to emphasize
that the focus of the art activity would not be on
the requisite artistic content of a creation but very
much on the message of the art work, our people would
like to communicate to the rest of the world as it
attempts at creating a peaceful society for the Philippines.
To this end, we believe that A PEOPLE WITH A COMMON
VISION, AT ALL TIMES SUCCEEDS IN ITS ASPIRATIONS.
Hence, as the 6th of July 2003 draws near, the partners
in this undertaking are CHALLENGING AND ENCOURAGING
everyone to PAINT THIS VISION AS A PEOPLE and be able
to confirm our belief that our generation and the
generation after us will live in a society where PEACE
IS NOT JUST AN OBJECTIVE BUT ALREADY A WAY OF LIFE.
